Unable to contact seller after receiving an offer
AnsweredI added a vehicle to my watchlist and before taking any further action the auction closed. The seller then offered me a price to purchase the vehicle (this was a trademe offer, not contacted externally). I'm not sure how this works I haven't encountered this feature before, but I hadn't made contact with the seller previously so I assume they could see that I had watchlisted it. Since it is a vehicle I would like to arrange a viewing before making an offer, however I have no way of contacting the seller. There is no contact information attached to the offer I received and since the original listing is now closed, there are no details on the page and I am unable to post a question. How can I contact the seller in this situation?

Short answer: You can't.
Longer answer: Wait until they list something else (or the vehicle again) then you will be able to contact them via Q&A. You can save them as a favourite seller so you will be notified when they list something. However do check the closed auction. You might find the seller had added contact details to that in the description or the original Q&A.

Kia Ora All,
With Fixed Price Offers TM will not supply the Seller or Buyer with contact info' as it is purely a second chance for the Buyer post auction to obtain a missed or undecided auction at time of closing & for the Seller to achieve a Sale here - as it is a second chance TM will not go through the process of requesting permission from the Buyer to supply the Seller their personal info' and vice versa - Supplying the contact details in this situation is a breach of privacy - Cheers.1 -
Many thanks for that, all good, cheers, Phil

I made an offer on a vehicle, the seller accepted my offer , now they won’t reply to my messages to arrange payment and pick up , is this a common occurrence?

Kia Ora Al,
Check your Emails for any correspondence by the Seller - It is noted Sellers & Buyers miss each other expecting Messages rather than an Email.
How long has the purchase been? - is it possible your Seller has/is on Holiday atmo'?
- Check your spam/junk folder also.
- Email your Seller letting them know you have sent messages.
- If you don't hear back in a couple of days is this an auction or a classified listing? - An auction you can place feedback letting your Seller know you have emailed & messaged them & to please make contact with you.
- An auction, if no response at all by 7 business days Select the Dispute resolution Tab in your Won items for assistance from TradeMe,
- A classified - As you haven't paid yet you may want to give the Seller the benefit of doubt being the Holidays & hold out to hear for a couple of weeks.
- If No Response from your Seller at all move on passed this Trade.
- If no contact report this behaviour to TM Staff so they can investigate the Seller's account & take any action deemed necessary - Helping to ensure other Members don't have a negative experience.
Hopefully your Seller is well & you both connect - Happy New Year! 😊
