Fixed price offer accepted in error
AnsweredWe offered the listing for our car as a fixed price offer. Soon into the FPO time, a buyer accepted. Details for payment were sent on. Five days later after a reminder, they emailed to say they'd accepted the FPO in error and didn't want the vehicle.
Our account is still saying the item was sold to this member and to leave feedback. How can this be removed?
Fortunately we sold the vehicle not long after outside of trade me, but where do we stand? Do we leave negative feedback, or can our account be updated to state it didn't sell?

Hi Nikki. The feedback you leave is completely up to you. But as the vehicle sold to someone else and the previous buyer admitted to an error there was no real harm done? I assume you have requested your fees back for the non completed trade already?
You won't be able to remove the sale from your record as such. It will stay there in your sold items for 45 days, but you can delete it yourself if you really want to. I wouldn't do that though. Just leave it there. Only you can see it.

Kia Ora Nikki,
Honest Feedback you can't go wrong with - just as you would have placed if the vehicle had sold - Cheers.

Callum There was no success fee, but can I get the listing fee back?

Unfortunately Nikki you won't be able to as this is a hosting fee for advertising cost - Congratulations on selling your car 😊

Yes, with no success fee it must have been a classified advertisement. You can't leave feedback for a classified so that probelem is a non event.
As S says, no, you won't get your listing fees back. With a classified ad Trade Me have no evidence of whom you sold the car to. It would be like paying for an ad in the newspaper, then asking for your money back because you sold it to someone who saw it on facebook instead.
