Items keep repeating in search results.

I decided to browse jackets with some options including size and colour. The results ended up as 88 pages. I gave up after 10 pages as many of the items repeated several times. I chose one of the repeat items to check if the seller had listed this item multiple times but they had only listed once.

Having 88 pages of options which are multiple repeats is not acceptable. I gave up and the sellers who would have shown up later in the search lists missed out on the opportunity of a potential sale.

What is going on?

You might find Mary that the seller might have branches in different towns eg Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Tauranga, Hamilton etc and they have the same item listed under each location with a different membership. You see some that have nameAUCK, nameCHCH, nameDUN, nameTGA, nameWELL etc etc. I regularly come across some that have 6 - 12 different locations all selling exactly the same item, which is a bit ridiculous, especially when they have the same nationwide shipping for each. Not sure if this is the case for what you were looking for, but maybe you could try and refine your search and filters rather than a browse and filters.eg

If I browse jackets, black, sz 10 I get 1297 results.

If I add NOT blazer, this reduces to 1066

Clicking the filter to New, reduces to 496 which is a more manageable number of 9 pages, which you can then narrow down with a price sort.

Kia Ora Mary,

I have noted these listing pages seem to be set to a random floating/shuffled Gallery display rather than a set order - when I enter a listing to view then return to all listings these listings can be very mixed to the ones I previously saw, including new items in page view & previous listings viewed often appearing pages apart from the page I returned to, thereby appearing more than once in the Members listings, however if I select the 'Sort' drop down menu at the top of the page, right hand side and select an order like, 'latest listings' Or 'closing soon,' I get an ordered Gallery display returned back to the position I left when entering a listing to view those details of - No longer a floating/shuffled Gallery display.
