How to Get my Trade Me listing higher in the search results.
AnsweredHi all,
I've got a few trade me listings which I want to get higher in the search results. I've spent a lot of time messing around with the titles and descriptions, but it hasn't really done anything. I have already tried upgrading the listing, but this hasn't done anything.
What's the best way to get it higher in the results?

Hi Shane. Titles is the main thing as descriptions are only searched these days if the buyer puts " " around their search terms, else it just searches titles. Use every letter possible in the title. Other than that, nothing you do will make your listing appear higher in first search results before filtering.
It does depend how a buyer works though. If they browse first by a category, then the default initial sort order is Featured first, so paying for Feature will usually get you up there.
If the buyer searches though, most categories default to Best match, so featured will only highlight further down the list in closing order.

I search under 'latest listings' when I'm looking for something inparticular.
Based on a 'latest listings' search, you could always shorten your listing duration.. try a 3 or 4 day listing.. that way, with each relist your listings will be back at the top of the list, under 'latest listings'.
