No contact from Buyer - 38 Negatives and not answering my emails
AnsweredNot sure what to do here. I already have two retaliatory negatives from past buyers and it looks this buyer will be the same. Refuses to make contact and it looks like it is a pattern. So if I request a refund, I guess I will get negative feedback. If I give negative, I will get negative feedback. I wish I had watched who was bidding and I would have removed bids and blacklisted. Needs to be action on these sorts of traders. I wonder how many sellers have let it go and sucked up the fees, so they don't get negative feedback. They are rural and selected the wrong courier option. But, still haven't paid anyway.

Trademe are known to remove retaliatory feedback when asked. It happens so often, they even have a page of help specially for it, and a link to fill in a report to have it reviewed here. Best thing to do is request a fee refund, when that comes through, blacklist the member, place appropriate feedback, Offer to others or relist. If they have 38 negatives, that's already quite a few people that have already placed negative, so a few more might just tip the scales for Trademe to take permanent action. Don't forget to write to Trademe specifically to let them know your concerns about the trader. They don't go looking for feedbacks, so need these things brought to their attention.
Although it doesn't happen often, my std neg feedback is "Despite several emails from myself, earlier feedback asking for completion being placed, and email reminders from Trademe, there was no contact or payment from the buyer. Am still happy to complete trade if buyer pays and makes contact."

Thank you. I will fire off another email tonight and prepare myself for the negative (then contact Trade Me if she comes back to bite)

Hi Susan. If you think emails are not getting through, I send in plain text format, rather than HTML as sometimes plain text get's through when HTML goes to spam.
Before requesting a refund I place blue feedback after a few reminder emails go unanswered.
"Could you please make contact and complete this trade? I've emailed several times but no replies? Your order is packed and ready, just awaiting payment. Payment instructions and links to pay by CC are in your Items I won page here on Trademe. Thanks"
