If you viewed the listing, you can go back to it by looking at your Recently viewed items, IF you have that option turned on.
Once you are in the listing, you can click on Sellers other listings, and see if they have something else listed to ask a question on. Other than that, you can add the seller as a Favourite seller by clicking the button in the listing and you can then be emailed new listings by the seller.
There are other ways to make contact, but none that can be discussed here.

Tried that, but the listing is not shown. It was also on my watch list, which now shows as empty. There used to be a way to browse old listings, but that feature seems to have been removed.

Expired listings is still there on the new site.
Click the Refine button after you have done a search and Expired is at the bottom of the list. All it does is redirect you back to the desktop site.
https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/AdvancedSearch.aspx?advanced=true&empty=true&cid=0&searchstring=&searchregion=Likewise, the Items I lost folder, where items that have closed and are no longer on your watchlist are in your Lost folder on the new site, which redirects you back to the desktop site.

A potential buyer has asked if they can view my listing in person and given me a phone number to reply by txt. Is this ok?

No, it's not allowed to post contact details in auctions or in Q & A. Have read in this post for ways to handle this.

A listing opened on Monday and closed on Tuesday unsold. I was/am keen to purchase. How do I make contact with the seller to see if he is still keen to sell the product?

Hi Steve, you can go in to your Items I lost folder and click on Ask seller to relist, or ask for a fixed price offer like below, or, if the seller has current listings you could ask a Q on one of those.

Hello there, Unfortunately the seller has no current listings or a way of seeking a relisting.

Hi Steve, I've looked that up for you and can see that the item did in fact sell. I know it is showing as closed and did not sell, but that is because the seller created it as a multiple quantity listing. At the moment when there is a successful purchase on that kind of listing, the messaging on the expired listing is incorrect. This is something that we are looking at getting fixed, and we have a Community post about it here. I'm really sorry you missed out on that and for the confusion this issue has caused here.

hey I have a similar issue. There was an auction for a small bike ( 3354384111) where the customer was asking for a certain price. Like above there is a new listing but when i click on the link I get the classified has expired message. is there a simple fix or is this something Trademe would look to offer. Hell it could even have a $1.00 - $2.00 charge per message sent

Hello, I am wanting to try to email a seller of a product that, according to the listing which I can still see, didn't sell. It was a motorcycle so I don't think it would be a multiple listing. It expired back in October but I have only recently been in a position to look to purchase. I am just wanting them to relist if they still have the item. Is there any help you could provide? This is the original listing: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/dual-purpose/listing/3324051814?bof=iYuhY1tv

Basically Glenn, you can't contact them as they don't have any current listings. Pretty sure if someone was wanting to sell they would have it listed now, or more likely it's been sold, since that was 6 months ago now.

Hi, I'm in the same situation. I asked a question which the vendor responded to and then they pulled the listing (I didn't get the message till after they ended the listing as I was working). Is there any way I can contact them as they have not listed an option to request a relist nor do they have any other items for sale? Thanks

All you can do Kay is to save the seller as a favourite so you'll get emailed if they list again. Since they would have had to pay a fee to withdraw it, they probably sold it.

oh no really? It was pulled less than an hour later, I didnt even get the chance to read the message. It was an expensive item so I needed to check something first. I already saved the seller. Im new to NZ so Trademe is different from other platforms Ive used. Thanks for your help.

Is there any possibility of viewing an old listing. Even if the seller removed it. I'm in the process of taking someone to court for selling me broken goods. I thought I'd screenshot the description but unfortunately not.

If the seller removed it/withdrawn it, they must have done it before it finished, so there can't have been a sale. The seller can't "remove it/withdraw it" after it has closed. Correctly expired auctions can always be seen, other than photos, by putting the auction number in the search box or by using the link to it from emails you have received when you won it. eg www.trademe.co.nz/500000000 from 2012.
If the listing has been withdrawn, then no, but if you are taking someone to court, contact Trademe with a statutory declaration from the court and they will provide the information needed. Search the Help pages here for Disputes Tribunal for instructions.

Ok no yes unfortunately I did not follow through sale via trademe we done everything via text message and cash was paid. Is there any way to report seller without being 'sold' anything on here.? And does that mean if I can get court approval they can retrieve the old listing?

Not sure Trademe will be want to or be able to help since you didn't complete the sale with them so they have no way to confirm you bought it, but worth asking them to see if they can help.

Sorry if I'm repeating an already asked question, but I just missed out on this listing here {https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/mitsubishi/listing/3734219635?archive=1&bof=7GU2bQYa} as I saw it a few minutes before it expired. (Listing #3734219635) As you can see when you click the link it states "classified has expired". Does this mean the listing was sold to another member or was the listing privated for some reason? If it isn't I would love a way to get into touch with the seller if that's possible. Like you can on other lost listings. Thanks

Hi Heidi. If a classified has expired it does not necessarily mean it's sold, but it might have. There is no way to contact the seller although if you remember their trademe name you can add them as a favourite in case they relist the classified, or if you remember something in the title, you can add that as a fav search in case the same or similar pops up again.
