What happens if you win a listing but the seller wants more money for the item?

I won a cabin on trademe. Its taken over 2 weeks for the seller to contact me he then said he had already sold it and I'd hace to wait 6 weeks foranother one. He now wants more money for the cabin saying his costs have gone up. Can he do this it is a business.

Gary-NZStocked Community SuperuserIf you won by auction or Buy Now rather than bought via a classified, then the seller should have had those T & C in their listing so people know before buying. If important T & C were absent or have changed significantly, then you can decide not to go ahead, without repercussion. Unfortunately you have to decide again if this is right for you at the new price and time, but if it was me, I'd probably be looking elsewhere, or if you decide to go ahead, get it in writing first.
