You could try getting a quote from another source (I find ishipping is usually cheaper than Book a Courier for NZPost) or direct on NZpost website itself and then see how the prices match up.

The quote is only that, a quote. NEVER use the quote as a final price. ALWAYS use full address for price (can only do this when booking it).

But a quote is a fixed legally binding price munchnz. If you want to take the technical meaning of the word. 

To be honest this distinction needs to be fixed on Trade Me Book Courier. 

What you are getting on there are estimates, not quotes.

To be correct either Trade Me needs to change the wording to estimate, or the quoted price needs to be honoured. 

I agree with you but, is only binding when agreed. You can't agree until its booked.
