Oversized items
AnsweredI have a parcel that I havnt listed on trademe yet because I want to give freighting options on the listing, but it is to long for standard couriers L 212cm W 15cm H 10cm, the book a courier tool doesnt work, there limit seems to be 1.5m -1.8m so was wondering what is the best way to go about giving frieght options on the listing for different areas when you dont know where its going yet. I am surprised trademe doesnt have a tool for this

Hello carrot_1966
Aramex can handle 2.4m so use them. The 1.8m limit is NZ Post
I did a sample booking through ishipping using Aramex and those dimensions and all is OK.
NOTE: They will only deliver to a standard address at those dimensions. Not Rural.

It does seem a little strange that if aramex does up to 2.4m length, but the trademe tool doesnt do it

Thought I'd run a test on BAC. For those dimensions and a weight of 5-10kg I also strangely got a NZPost quote, as well as Aramex. This was a next city over quote. Maybe it won't like it if going between islands?
*shrug*

Also have a look at Pass the Parcel and ishipping. They may take larger parcels. I have successfully sent roof racks and skis by courier before but I can’t remember who I booked with.
