Combined shipping
AnsweredHow does Combined Shipping work under the Ping system?
I've been selling some of my large collection of 45s records and can send several in one package for $8.
I put $8 in the combined shipping section for my latest auction. Someone bought some 45s, but trademe charged $8 shipping using Ping for each item. I want to be able to charge $8 shipping regardless of how many they buy. The other problem is that a buyer doesn't know which items they will win at auction, so they don't know which items to put the shipping on, and which to put combined postage, or pickup or whatever until after they know which items they will win, which I don't think is a current option. All very confusing. I'm having buyers contacting me wanting to pay by bank transfer because of this problem.

Kia Ora peterh28,
In the 'Combined shipping' section you put the cost as $0.00 - as you have a free text field in the combined option you can add a note 'After one full shipping option has already been selected'. - You can also place a similar note in the Listing description field along with 'Any shipping overpayments will be refunded', this is a quick & easy process through Ping and you are automatically refunded any Ping shipping fee applied.
All the Best for your sales - Cheers.

Thanks for the explanation regarding making Combined Shipping $0.
How does a seller deal with a situation where a buyer bids on several records, but they don't win the item at auction that they attached the shipping cost to (ie the buyer pays no shipping using Ping)?
