Where did TradeMe ask for you to confirm your purchase, did they send you an email requesting you to confirm the purchase?

What link did you click on that sent you in a loop, was this a Link in the email?

Nope, not an email, it was a prompt... To confirm purchase... I think, I stuffed up. I may have made a second purchase, I need help to cancel the second purchase... Sorry!

It sounds like you have selected the 'Confirm purchase' Tab as below...

As it was a few hours later when you checked back, saw the confirm Tab and selected it - the system would have had to refresh to current time incase another Member had purchased the item before you confirmed your purchase, therefore it sounds like you haven't actually purchased it yet.

Double check your Won items to see if the purchase did go through when you confirmed it - if you've paid by Ping you can also select 'My TradeMe' at the Top Right of most TradeMe pages - this will take you to your 'Account details' page > scroll down to 'My balances' & select 'Manage Ping' > scroll down to 'Transactions' - If you are showing 1 item in your Won items and 1 purchase transaction the confirmation you selected will have closed the sale as purchased by you and you should receive an email from TradeMe confirming your purchase.

If there is no item in your won items, no transaction payment & no email from TradeMe confirming your purchase check if the item is still for sale so you can purchase it now and select the 'Confirm purchase' Tab so the sale/purchase goes through. - Cheers.

Kia ora haukino, the advice from S is bang on. Check your won items to see there are two of the same thing, if you've only paid for one reach out to the seller and let them know what happened and that you don't need the second one. Sellers are generally really understanding. If you've paid for both and used Ping, the seller is able to refund you.
