Since Trademe has stopped integrating Pass The Parcel Couriers I'm choosing to list more items on Facebook Marketplace!
AnsweredPass the Parcel was set up specifically to send Trademe parcels & I've used from when started it up. The young staff weren't aware of this and there was no communication that Trademe's association with it was ending. Why wasn't this communicated? They are using Aramex & NZ Post who are hopeless to deal with if any goes awry . I was thinking about selling some of my books on Trademe but I may as well list them on Facebook Marketplace since I'm going to have to copy & paste the address into the Pass the Parcel website anyway.

Passthepaccel site does integrate with TM still, ie collects your sales and addresses etc after you have set it up on passtheparcel, but Passtheparcel have not offered special TM pricing for at least 5 years, maybe more. Still nothing to stop you using passtheparcel for shipping rather than the TM courier partners. I never use the TM couriers through their website but do regularily use Passtheparcel for a proportion of my sendings

Yes I know but you have to copy & paste the address in as it stopped being integrated several months ago.
As I said I was thinking about selling some of my books via TM but I may as well just continue to sell them Facebook Marketplace.

24th June, Pass the parcel sent out an email to all their Trade me customers., copy below.
We're getting in touch to let you know about a recent change that may affect how your Trade Me sales appear in Pass the Parcel.
Trade Me introduced changes to its Marketplace API in early 2026 that reduced access for some casual sellers and third-party applications. The developer platform is now primarily focused on supporting authorised in-trade commercial entities, reflecting a broader strategy to strengthen activity within Trade Me's own website and app ecosystem following the removal of success fees for casual sellers on general items.
As a result of these changes, sold listings for casual sellers are no longer being automatically retrieved and displayed in the Pass the Parcel Portal as they were previously. This means you may be able to see your completed sales within your Trade Me account, but they may not appear within Pass the Parcel.
The good news is that you can still use Pass the Parcel to send your items. Simply visit www.passtheparcel.co.nz and create your shipment directly, no account is required.
