Kia Ora tim4altd,
The Commerce commission actively monitor for In-Trade status compliance - TradeMe have a legal requirement under the Fair Trading Act to take reasonable steps to ensure Members disclose their trading accurately - Members who think you should be In-Trade may also report this to the company - The volume and regularity of your Sell through rate and status of your goods for sale fits in with the definition of In-Trade, where this is in error you need to contact the company to discuss your situation, as you've done. Our messages are queued awaiting a staff member to sight and respond to, you can check on the status of your message by selecting 'My Requests' Top Right of Help & Community pages, the status is at the end of the subject line. At anytime you can add further info' or make an enquiry by clicking into that subject line. - There is currently an increase in the number of Members that have had the In-Trade status turned on, keep an eye on your emails, a staff member will contact you. - All the Best.

Hi tim4altd
If you have some items that you are selling in-trade, and some private you are best to have 2 accounts to separate them out. Trade Me allow you to have an in-trade and a private account.
You have your occupation listed as a lawn-mowing contractor, and you have a few new lawnmowing parts listed. Those for example might technically hit the definition of an in-trade sale. Even if you purchased them for the business, then decided you won't use them and are selling them on.
But yes, Trade Me does seem to be doing sweeps at the moment and automatically turning on the logo for some members. The good news is they will turn it off again once contact has been made to clarify your position.
