Crap new layout being forced on us!
I think this has been gone over before, but we are back to this again!
The old desktop site for listing and editing listing is a simple and easy to use when it comes to listing lots of items etc, I don't need to go into all the problems with the crap new site being loaded onto me and making me use, makes it 1000 times harder and longer to list and go through so many items.
So yeah, am I the only one still thinking this, people's thoughts on it would be great as we know trademe don't listen to any of us.
Also does anyone know of any new auction New Zealand websites that are better to use and will also listen to people who use it?

Hello go4ret. My comment has gone into pending mode. See attached.

No thanks, the old site when it came to seeing items listed, seeing sold and unsold items is still 100000 times better than the new layout, but as usual you will not listen to the users, if it wasn't broken you don't fix it, Trademe seems to be one of the few sites who take something that is working fine and then break it.

go4ret. My Products is basically the old site, but turbo charged.
Rather than just dismissing it outright, have you actually looked at it?
Amongst other things it still has unsold/sold in a very accessible format, like the old site, but better......

Yes, I have looked at it.

Great! Is there anything in particular that didn't work for you?
There are a few of us on here who have a bit of knowledge around it.
You mention the sold / unsold page you didn't like in the new format.
My Products sold tab has a format very similar to the old website, with the addition of a few other nice features and filters.

Too much to explain, my products to me is still way different to how the old site is in look and ease of use for current, sold and unsold listings.
As i said there was nothing wrong with the old layout as it did its job and it is a good design and everything is clear and easy to see etc. I guess some people try to justify their jobs (web designers) and change things for no reason other than to get a paycheck, you can say my products is the same, it isn't. I will leave it there.
Have a great day Callum you can only do what you can do.

There used to be a free auction listing site called Easylister - it was streets ahead of my products. I don't know why Trade Me didn't use it as their listing tool.

There is one called theglobe.nz that started on August, 2025. I don't know anything else about it.
