Selecting Brand for a New Clothing Listing
AnsweredIf the brand of my item isn't included in the list of brands, but I've clicked on the list of brands when creating the listing, a brand is assigned to the listing. The wrong brand.
This has occurred since being upgraded to the new web platform.
How can I edit my listing to remove the assigned 'wrong' brand?
Thanks

Hello dressingstatmnts
You just hit the X next to it when you edit it. Like this:
This will clear it and leave the brand field blank. You can then enter the correct brand, if it's listed, or leave it blank.
PS Using My Products is great here, as you can add your own brand if Trade Me doesn't have it.

You are possibly on a different (new) listing process.
Can you add a screenshot of what you see?

Kia ora everyone, Callum is right, if your listings are created on the new system, the ability to remove the brand isn't currently available. We've passed this on to the team to look into.

I'm having the same problem....my merino jumper is now described by Tme as a Tag Heuer and I can't change it .....I presume the only way to get rid of it is to redo the whole listing! There is the ability to 'Edit' the listings but there are several important things it won't let you change!

Sounds like Trade Me are already aware of this one and working on it anny51. But if you go to your auction then click "Tell us what you think" at the bottom of the page the team working on these issues can get another example to look at.
In the meantime are you able to shorten the end time? That can be a way to hurry things along so you can fix it on the redo.

thank you Callum.....as a temporary solution I've put a note in my listing saying that I can't change the brand, but I don't know if I can change it when it comes up for renewal, as Tme already blocks changing the price/mode of sale when relisting....I think someone else has already commented on this, and having to start from scratch every time is really unacceptable.
