Seller Adding PING & Afterpay Fees
I have just seen an auction for a quite expensive item where the seller has stated PING and afterpay is available so long as the buyer pays the fees - 2.5% extra for PING and 5.5% for afterpay.
The auction has PING and cash as payment options shown. The seller is to pay 2.5% more and 5.5% more of the final auction price if they pay by PING/Afterpay. Obviously this will need to be paid seperately, proabably by bank tranfer unless they set up a new auction with these fees
Whats your thoughts on this - I wouldve thought that this wasnt allowed for PING, but I can understand maybe with afterpay?

Kia Ora AJ,
The Policy states <quote> Listings fees and success fees are to be paid by the seller. You may not add these fees or other fees onto the winning bid amount. <unquote> - Cheers.

Thanks for confirming this S. I don't know how they will get on if someone uses those 2 forms of payment and insists on them paying the extra when it's a breach of trademes policy.

Well Done! 😊👍
They need to reflect their price of sale correctly so as not to mislead Buyers by appearing ahead of competitors in a Lowest price / Lowest Buy now search, artificially undercutting competitors' prices until one gets to the hidden additional cost which is not fair trading on the Buyer or competitor Sellers.
