No deliveries in Wellington region today and delays in other areas (NZ Post)
Pinned"Severe rain and hazardous weather across the Greater Wellington and Wairarapa regions have made it unsafe for our team to complete deliveries. To protect our people, all mail and courier services are suspended today (Tuesday 21 April). There will be no pickups or deliveries during this period. Please allow an additional 2–3 working days for delivery. NZ Post retail outlets in affected areas are closed, including Waterloo Quay, Johnsonville, and Te Puni.
Weather-related road closures are also impacting routes to and from Taranaki and areas north of Taupō. Deliveries to these regions may be delayed by up to one working day.
Ferry services between the North and South Islands have been cancelled from 3:30pm Monday 20 April through to Wednesday morning due to forecast heavy swells and poor weather. We will begin moving Economy parcels between the islands once ferry services resume. Despite efforts to minimise disruption, inter-island Economy deliveries may be delayed by up to 2 working days."
