Can you contact a previous Offer person?
In selling a car, are you able to contact a Trade Me member who made an offer two weeks ago?

Hello tezza60. Short answer: No
Slightly longer answer: If they have listings you can reach out that way by asking a ? on one of their items.

Thank you Callum. The person has no current listings.

Wait, is this your BMW? If so did this offer come through as an email? Not through the make an offer system? If so, you should be able to reply to them. Unless you deleted that email of course.

Yep my X5. Offer was made online two weeks ago. I counter-offered but now wish to lower the counter-offer. Car market is tough at moment!

Thank you for that advice!. On another matter is there ANY means you can contact Trade Me. Their range for your car value is WAY over high! I started at their bottom figure and got virtually no interest - I am now about 15% below and interest is still slow.

I think all it does is a scrape of the current listings and gives you an estimate based on that. There does seem to be a gap in the middle. A lot of $25-30K mainly from dealers, then a $15K one from a private seller that is similar to yours. So it probably returns an estimate around $20?
There aren't that many for sale, often it's easier to just have a look yourself. I'd look into the $15K one and see if that's better than yours. If it is you might have to come down to match it.
You can also look at expired auctions to see if there are any recent sales to give you an idea of what they are actually selling for.
