casual sellers service fee
Why is it that TM in their Initial Information for Causal Sellers DID NOT state CLEARLY when the buyer pays by ping that the service fee Includes the Postage cost as well ????? This means for Most of the items I sell which are from .50c to $10.00 I am actually Paying a Higher Service fee than I did Before with this new plan was put in Place. This Stinks. So I Do Not have more of the profit that stays with me as Stated by TM. Why then are Casual Buyers using ping "Excempt" from Paying a Service fee when they purchase items for $00.00 - $20.00 ??????

Callum Community SuperuserHello cabbie7. You seem a bit confused here. When an item sells for .50c to $10 there is no Service Fee. Service Fees for buyers start at $20.01 and are EXCLUDING shipping costs.
If you mean the Ping fee you pay as a seller, yes shipping costs are included when the fee is calculated.
Or are you meaning something else?

Why is Ping Surcharging on Shipping? I never understood that as shipping problems are handled by the courier company/NZPost.
So why is Trademe taking a cut? If we're paying a fee then we should be able to claim from Trademe and Courier when shipping goes wrong (damaged/lost)

Trademe started doing this when it saw some dodgy sellers doing $1 buy now but $50 postage to avoid paying the selling/PING fees. I guess they saw this as an easier way than trying to correct those doing it.
