I think I've been scammed
Hi
I made a purchase of the 23rd . Heard nothing from the seller(they are a large seller with over 52000 listings but only 500 old sales in a year) so emailed them last night then got a reply today which said they had sent 2 emails and to check my spam/junk folders. They also want my phone number to enable them to create a consignment note or cant send . Is this normal as I've never had it before . I know its still very early days but stupidly only read their feedback after purchase and its totally shocking and only 81.7%.
Thanks for any advice or help

Hello Rod.
It doesn't seem like a scam to me. At least not any of the usual ones. Certainly a poor trader though going by the feedback.
Requesting phone number is not unusual. As the seller says, some require it for their consignment / courier systems.
As you say, still early days. Is this an overseas or dropshipping seller? If not they have 7 days to get the item to you.
I'd wait the 7 working days and if you haven't received the item or confirmation of tracking after that you can take things further with a Dispute. Hopefully you paid with Ping.

Hi Callum
Thanks for your reply .
Yes I did pay by ping,I think the scam part is they drag it out for more than 30 days by delaying sending emails with tracking and saying technical glitches etc so by that time you cant claim back on ping .
I also think you are right about them being very poor traders and plenty of feedback saying no item arrived or did arrive after 8 weeks from Australia which is crazy because I just had 5 items arrive from Temu within 6 days (2 being the weekend lol)
Anyways I remember your name from the good old days of TM message boards so glad to see you are still alive and well,
Rod
