No communication from buyer

Kia Ora mumma48,
It sounds like your Buyer may be confused in regards to which Listing they've won, first stipulating they will meet you in Auckland? - This would relate to a pick up Listing. Under the code of conduct Buyers have 2 days to make contact and a week from receiving payment details to make payment, completing the Trade. - As it's now Saturday 21 February 2026 you can apply for a Success fee refund which will initiate an email from TradeMe to your Buyer in attempt to get the Trade back on Track for you, if no response is received to that email within 3 days you will receive a refund allowing you to relist the item.
A few things to try first...
- Check you email spam/junk folder incase a response has gone there.
- If they have any listings running themselves you can put a prompt through the Q&A section on one of those letting them know to check their spam/junk email folder & make contact with you.
- If they have no listings running put the prompt through on their feedback.
- If no response or payment received within a couple of days go ahead & apply for your Success fee's.
I hope your Buyer is well and not caught up in the earlier week weather storm, hopefully with your prompt you hear from them soon. - All the Best.
