Sorry to read of your experience with leaving a message through the Chat system also,
I have had several issues as our emails are now queued and answered in priority - thus being I have always received an email on the second day after leaving a message. - How long have you been awaiting an email from a staff member now? - Double check your spam/junk email folder on the off chance one from the company has gone there. - Well done for Posting your issue, a staff moderator may pick this up quicker for you. - All the Best.

Kia ora zainabeazley, thanks for reaching out, these situations can be a bit stressful. I've passed this on to the team to follow up with you. Once the team have the info they need to process the refund it can take a couple of days for the money to show up in your account, due to bank processing times. Keep an eye on your emails.

Hi Community Members,
I am going through the similar scenario of accidental top up to my Trademe account, actually I was exploring the ping payment option and by mistake ended up with erroneous transaction.
I have requested for refund through Trademe chat support but no response received yet, could anyone help to expedite my case as preferred to have a refund prior to Christmas holidays.

Kia ora farhan85, it's a fairly common mistake, I've reached out to the team and asked them to follow up on this for you, someone will be in touch. It will take a couple of days for the banks to process it back to you once we've actioned it.
