E-Mail Links - Information missing in subject bar & no Pnumbers?
Has anyone else noticed receiving E-Mails for sold items,
with no P numbers and lack of Information in Subject bar?, It is frustrating to find what trade it is for?,
It depends which link you use as to what it shows?
There is no consistency, But with no Pnumber to search, it is frustrating to say the least,
and I thought it was my buyers removing info, No it is actually Trade Me behind the issue,
I will be checking all E-Mails I send have the correct info in subject bar from now on,

Yes, it's always been like that on every listing on this new site. Simple answer is to remember not to click on the buyers email address in the auction page as TM have not added in the P number reference in the email creation link. You can see the email creation line in your browser status line when you hover over the email address or look at the source, compared with the correct info when you hover over the email address when in your sold items folders which has the correct info. Just email buyer from the email TM sends you, or from your old sold folder in either TM or MP.
In the old sold folder the email link has for the subject line for the email hasTrademereference then auctiontitle.
The new site auction page (as there are no details on the new site sold page) has auctiontitle only.
Oh, and the reason you have part titles is you are using &, which often breaks the TM string formatting. Same for commas. There is an item I sell every week that has a comma in the title and this always breaks only SOME TM emails.

Fixed price accepted shortened titleAll the shortened emails I get for this item only have the first word of the title and nothing else after a comma I have there. I could fix it by removing the comma from the title, but I leave it there so I can see if TM ever get around to fixing it since I reported it to them along with email examples in 2019. This was also discussed on the old MB.

flossy63 Community SuperuserThanks, I only have to send E-Mails if they are reminders, so hence have not picked it up, sigh,otherwise I am just responding to the ones requesting combined shipping,Here I was asking buyers in future to please use Pnumbers in subject bar, but not their fault,as not easy to match an E-Mail address in my Products as only an envelope icon ✉️ you have to go to normal sold folder to see addresses or search it in E-Mails,1

You can search in MP sold items with an email address in the keyword box if you copy their email address from their email, and it takes you straight to items they have bought.
Seems ridiculous they have removed (vs the std site) the P reference number from emails generated when clicking on site for buyers and sellers when clicking links in sold or bought items when they tell everyone to use P reference numbers. I doubt it was a conscious decision, just not something they thought about when creating the new site. It's like whoever made the new site was not allowed to see the old site and not given a list of current necessary functions to replicate.
