Surely its time for intrade sellers to recieve offers.

Personally as an in-trade seller I don't understand the offer thing. Surely you have the price set where you want for the items you are selling. I mean you don't go into Kmart or whatever and make them an offer on something on the shelf?
I trialled it for a while on eBay. Just got inundated with ridiculous offers. Quickly turned it off again.
I guess different sellers have different methods of how they work, but it's not for me anyway. If you have offers turned on to me it sends a notice that the price you have listed is far more than what you will actually take.

TSNZ The General thinking on this is, Intrade Sellers do not want the make an offer, been other posts that have raised this,
We are Intrade for a reason, To make a living put food on the table our reserves are set, costs etc. covered, So most of the reserve is our lowest price, we do not want insulting low ball offers, especially after the work we put in to our auctions etc.
as we do get insulting offers in Q&A's, last one wanted a 33% discount? on a pricey item,
Behind the scenes a lot more goes on than casual sellers, we have to keep books of all our sales, expenditures etc. (Tax Records) this takes a lot of our time record keeping of sales etc. pay Tax, pay ACC levy's etc. covering other costs also, Courier bags, Printer Ink, adhesive Courier labels, Packing Tape, Cartons etc., it all costs,
We are not charities, we are not having a house & garage clear out etc. where it is mostly profit, We have to actually buy stuff to resell, it all costs, So we have to cover all costs,
Please think outside the Box, and think about your business, we all operate differently, sell different items etc. we don't all fit in the same box, Same as Ping being forced on us, alright for some but not for others,
as they say what is good for the Goose, may not be good for the Gander,

Totally understand that its not for everyone for sure. Which is why i think an opt in option, same as afterpay for example, would work. But sure, if youre selling items with a set price than it would be a pain i can totally see that.
I'd rather accept an offer than edit listings if i got asked for a bit off, or a bundle for example. Keeps it streamline for my business
