How do I change the location of the items I have for sale?
AnsweredSeems when posting the ad I was defaulted to Nelson where I lived when I initially registered.
I am now living in Queenstown. How do I change my ad to reflect this location?

First off, change your membership location so it's correct.
TradeMe - Edit Contact Details
Make sure also to change your Closest District. This affects what shows on your listing and also location searches. Once you change this, it works immediately on all listings existing or new.

Kia Ora Guys,
Gary can you still edit auction end dates bringing them forward to close date/time?
I know you used to be able to provided there were no bids on the auction and the close time had to be no shorter than within 6hrs of actual close time if it was near - I also know there was a system Bug a time ago producing some weird & wonderful results - Do you know where that ability is up to please? - Cheers.

Yes, you can still edit auctions to change the finish time. I just did a couple to test. You still can't manually edit live MP MQLs that use the new shipping templates though, as the new template info is still not being pulled through. I have no idea what bugs TM are working on at the moment but have noticed a few things fixed/changed in the last few days.

Lol I just twigged - I was referring to the bugs when editing listings that changed the end date to a week ahead of what was wanted - Sorry I wasn't clear on that Gary. I was wondering if Paul's location hadn't updated with the correct location if he could change the end date & time to close at the end of the next 6hrs so he could relist then with the new location 😊

If I live in Chch, but am trying to sell something located in Auckland to people in AKD; apart from saying in the Description the item is in AKD, is there a way of changing the Shipping and Pick Up description to say it's in AKD?

Kia Ora David, Sorry I can't help you with the answer, I'm learning up on these things myself atmo' especially with the differences between Std auctions & My Products listings so I'm keen to hear also - Cheers.

David, you can certainly add shipping options to say where pickup is, as long as your listing is a standard auction. eg have a shipping option saying $0.00 Pickup from Downtown Auckland. If you are only selling one item and it's in Auckland, you could always change your Contact details in your My Trademe page - Closest District, to Auckland so it will show up as located in Auckland when people search. Not much good if you are selling other items though as your location will now show as Auckland immediately and on all listings.
I just tested and if I leave my contact address details as Auckland, I can change my Closest District to Christchurch City and it shows immediately on all my listings as Christchurch.

A bit late to the party but, I thought it was worth noting that any change you make to your location in your profile DOES NOT automatically change the location for pick-up for current listings. I have found you will have edit each listing, go through all the pages without changing anything until you reach the last page and click on Finish Editing. Then the pick-up location will change. Note, you have to click on each page otherwise Trade Me will think you have forgotten to add required information. Crazy, I know. It's been two years since the original post so these auto-update issues may have been caused by the "new and improved" TM website.
