Buyer paid using Afterpay now their account is disabled
Hi all, I have a bit of a problem. Sold an item and buyer paid using Afterpay, its the first time Ive had someone use the Afterpay payment method so Im unfamiliar with it. I booked the courier which cost a lot as they have a rural address and the item is being picked up this morning sometime. I place feedback for them and then see their account has been disabled. I have contacted TM but as it may take a while to hear back from them, am wondering whether its still safe to send the item off to them since they have paid (using Afterpay) or can Afterpay payments be reversed? Was hoping to hear back from TM before the courier comes this morning

Gary-NZStocked Community SuperuserI would hold off sending and wait till you can contact Trademe to confirm. Hopefully the money is showing in your Afterpay/Paynow account on here, but check there in case there is a note beside it saying it needs to be verified, although that usually happens before TM send you an email.

N & KEditedOK thanks Gary. Yes on the Afterpay statement it looks like TM have just now paid it out to my bank account though its not showing in my bank yet but usually payments show up around 9-10am for me. I also forgot to say they are a brand new trader so the only feedback they had was mine.

S Community SuperuserKia Ora Nina & Kaea, you can contact a TradeMe Staff member directly for assistance via their "Live Chat" facility to obtain instant answers rather than awaiting email response.
If you go through the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this, or any, TM page yes you come to a drop down form however if you give the page a few seconds the 'Chat' bubble will come up in blue at the bottom right of the page - I have just checked and it is manned now - someone is available to take your Chat, however if it is busy for you the que position will come up and I find this moves through to an operator quite quickly - All the Best - Cheers.
