How Shipping Choices affect Fees & Search

I am getting back into selling after a long time of just buying on the site.
I wanted to know if your shipping choices affect searchability?
And if the shipping cost is counted in success fees, afterpay fees, or ping fees?

Members can select their shipping preference through the Dropdown Link Tab, at the Top of their search, between the options of All, Free shipping or Pickup available, as below... However the first initial search prior to using the Tab options doesn't produce favoured shipping options.
The shipping cost is only applied to Sold/Purchased Listings if you are an In-Trade Seller, in which case the following Payment fees apply ...

Yes, you pay fee's on the shipping too. Don't know how this can actually be legal.
