Change listing title
AnsweredHiya, can anyone please tell me how I change my listing title? When I go to edit that area is not live and will not allow me to change it.
Plus I want to put the price as "by negotiation", without a price like others have done but once again it will not let me.
Any help is gratefully received.
Thanks,
Rita

There are a few reasons you wont be able to do that. Can't tell without looking at the item.
You can't change the title in vehicles. This is to stop people selling something then reusing the fees paid to sell something else
You can't change title on any auction it if there are bids. This is to stop people selling a Rolex then changing it to a Casio
You can't swap between auction and classifieds in vehicles.

Kia Ora Rita, is it a paid fee to list item or a free to list is the question - if it is a 'free to list' item can you put an auction closing date / time to Now's Good - then rewrite your title on relisting - Cheers.

Thanks for these comments.
The item is a paid one and it is selling a business. We just want to change the title as we feel it needs it and not have a price but say Price negotiable.

Kia Ora Rita, the other check: Are you using the desktop or mobile site? Try the opposite of how you accessed to edit title & see if same grey block - Cheers.

Yes, you probably won't be able to change that. Classifieds are locked in when you make them. The reasoning is the same with vehicles, property, pets and other classifieds. People used to pay for that one listing then change the title to something else once it sold. So avoiding paying the fee again to list something else.
TradeMe MIGHT be able to make the changes for you, but I once heard that even they can't.
The answer might be getting them to withdraw it, refund your costs, then you relist it again taking care to get it exactly how you want it.

Thanks once again for your helpful comments. I will just have to leave things as they are and change what I can.
Many thanks, Rita

Cheers Rita, you can put your 'Price negotiable' within the Description - I would contact TM to ask if they can assist you with this - it's worth a try - if you go to Contact Us at the bottom of any TM page you are in this will take you to a report info' page that has a Live Chat bubble pop up bottom right of screen - I have just checked and it is manned now, someone is available to take the Chat - if you find it busy you may enter a chat que - All the Best - Cheers.
