How do you buy a car out of your town

Hi Tim. That depends on the item itself, and the seller. If it's a vehicle with a buynow price then it's not possible. Whoever hits the buynow owns it at that point. If it's a classified or auction with no buynow you would communicate with the seller to sort it out. Each seller would have their own idea about it.

Yes it is a car … my point is if you request a professional inspection is done … how can you guarantee that the seller will not sell the car to another while this process is taking place that I have paid money for …

Hello again. I answered it pretty much in my last post. Basically you can't. Unless the seller agrees to what you want to do and will hold it for you. (Get that in writing.) But as per my previous message, if the car has a buynow price on it anyone could hit that at anytime and the seller would be obligated to sell it to that person.

I have purchased a car from Whanganui and I am in Tirau before. My son has bought 1 in South Island and himself in the North Island.
With mine I asked if he would hold it till we got down there. (we hoped on a plane). no issues.
My son asked the seller if he would take it for a inspection at his cost. Also when he purchased it he paid half then the car was going on a transporter to get here for him to pay the other half.
