Rural address impossible to get Aramex or NZ Post to deliver
AnsweredI have a rural address, NZ Post won't deliver here, so I have a PO Box.
Packages get sent by Aramex, but they won't delver to a PO Box.
If I give Aramex my home address, they pass the parcel on to NZ Post who return it as undeliverable.
Only option seems to be to pick it up from the Wellington Depot. 1 hour drive away.
Some cooperation between Aramex and NZ Post would be helpful.

If you have a PO address, just use that, NZ Post are the only ones that can deliver to a PO Box,
If it is booked through Aramex, It will be handed over to NZ Post to deliver to the PO Box,
As a rule all Rural parcels booked through Aramex get handed over to NZ Post to deliver, Aramex do not deliver to rural as will be outside their delivery Zone,
Best option is just use your PO Bx address, Do not use your home address if it is a non delivery address,
A rural non delivery address is usually because the address owner has not registered or paid for the rural delivery service,
you might need to apply for Rural Delivery service

They don't connect with nz post: This is the message I get:
"We have a parcel for you held in our Sub depot in Kapiti addressed to PO Box xyz.
Unfortunately we cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Can you please provide an alternative address for delivery"
Of course their sub-dept is unmanned so I can't just drop in to pick it up.

flossy63 Community SuperuserIf you are referring to Amarex holding your parcel, They should not be, they need to hand them over to NZ post to deliver, PO addressed parcels should be automatically handed over with their rural addressed parcels for NZ post to deliver, they should not be holding them at their depot,If they do that in your area, they should not offer a service and allow PO Box addresses to be booked via Aramex,In all my years have never heard of Aramex holding NZ post parcels, This is wrong,NZ Post should also not be holding them at Depots for collection, they should be delivered, you have paid for a PO Box for your Mail, it includes Parcels, where they can leave a card in your box for collection from a post shop if it does not fit in, as some PO Boxes are not same location as Post shops and are usually not manned,I must be lucky here our couriers Aramex & NZ Post work together, they exchange parcels, when they are at NZ Post depot here in town at same time and NZ Post may take some of Amerex Urban parcels to deliver & vice versa so they don't follow each other down the same streets, this can happen when it is busy, a few occassions in past I have had NZ Post deliver my Aramex parcels, as Urban also been handed over to NZ Post,Our Aramex Driver only does one Hugh loop daily from Penrose down to Waikato then back up through the Franklin areas,0

The problem here is that NZ Post DO NOT Deliver to my rural address.
And for some reason, Aramex will not hand it over to NZ Post for delivery to my PO Box.
Shipping options don't usually include a choice of courier. If the parcels got sent by NZ Post from the start, this would not be an issue, since I can receive parcels in my PO Box.

You need to Contact Aramex and find out why they are not handing over your PO Box addressed parcels to NZ Post as they should be, same as when they hand over their rural parcels, which they get paid for, but that should not stop them handing over PO Box addressed Parcels, something is not right there at all,

Another reply from Aramex:
"Apologies, unfortunately, we do not provide NZ Post tickets for PO Box address. We will either need to deliver this to your home address or if the sender provides us with an NZ Post label we can hand this over. "
However !... I somehow had 2 support tickets going at the same time for the same parcel.
The other one was much more useful, but only after I suggested they should drop it at Woolworth:
" Hi Andrew,
We are unable to deliver to Woolworths as that is a collection point for another courier company.
We could deliver it to Kapiti Mags at 9 Coastlands Pde if that would suit ok for you?
Kind regards"
So FINALLY I managed to pick it up from Kapiti Mags, which is a "Parcel Connect Agent"
