Copied Positive Reviews

This is not critical to me but something I have not understood for some years. It appears quite common for some members to have multiple copies of the same (positive)reviews. Does anyone know how this comes about. Do the reviews go towards raising the % of postive reviews. Does this comply with the site conditions. Should it be reported? I could well be misunderstanding what I am seeing as it seems quite an anomaly for the postive feedback percentage. Thanks Gary

Gary, only 1 feedback per member counts towards the other members rating %. Their overall total goes up, but the rating does not and the number beside their membername also does not increase with multiple feedbacks from one member. It's often said that it's good to look at both feedback numbers as it shows the seller has repeat customers, and/or they are happy to combine purchases. eg my stats say 6301 positive feedbacks. 4461 are from individual members, and count towards the final rating.

Hi there Gary, here is a possible answer for you.

What we do, is have a copy and paste positive feedback, so what happens is our repeat customers get the same feedback repeated, occasionally we will do a custom feedback, but for the most part its copy and paste, if have a look at Turners for example they do they same thing, this maybe what you are seeing.

Its not being lazy, or anything, there is only so much that can be said anyway, its just the best way of keeping things consistent for our clients.
