Shipping Costs
AnsweredWhy does Trade Me list the most expensive shipping cost to the furthest away destination 1st ?
I'm in Auckland, and I am 90% more likely to sell an item to someone else in an Auckland suburb which will be the cheapest shipping option, then rural, then the rest of the North Island, then to a suburban address in the South Island then a Rural address which will be the most expensive.
Trade Me should list the closet and cheapest option first, then descend downwards to the last & most expensive option. Looking at the shipping costs from the prospective buyer's point of view, they should see the cheapest option first !

Kia Ora Warren,
Listing the Highest shipping value first makes the Buyer actually look at the shipping costs rather than just picking the first option listed in cases when their actual address is Not the cheapest! - I think it acts as a tactical move which helps to deter wrong shipping costs being chosen in the first instance causing the many back & forth emails requesting correct shipping payment which can then drag out for several days / weeks wasting Sellers time - Cheers.
