Pulling out if prices are lower than expected
AnsweredHi i just tried bidding for an item and just because it was not the price expected the seller removed my bid before the $1 reserve ran out. The comments made by other users indicated that this seller does this too often. I have screenshots of their conversation. How do i mitigate this?

Kia Ora Ashnal,
Sorry to read that happened to you,Has the item been Relisted?Sellers are allowed to remove bids for various reasons including if there are errors within the Listing or pricing itself which may mislead Buyers, if the item got damaged, broke, etc. - If the item has been Relisted as was with no change to the Description or new photo('s) added showing any flaws or a corrected price adjustment to reflect this then Yes! removing bids within minutes of the listing closing time where the Reserve has been met though has not met the Seller's Buy Now asking price does look very suspect and is very dishonest manipulation which is in breach of Seller Trading Policies T&C's clause 4.4 which states -You must sell to the highest bidder if the reserve price is met, - and is well worth reporting to TradeMe staff through their Live Chat facility enabling them a full investigation of the Seller's account, behaviour, what has happened here and to take any necessary action/warnings required. To contact TradeMe staff through "Live Chat" for assistance, If you select the Contact us Link at the very bottom of any TradeMe page the Chat Tab will Pop up in blue at the bottom right of your landing page screen. - Enter in the Chat bot which comes up once opened in a New conversation - Talk to person - and you are taken to entering a few details before arriving at the window to Chat with a Real Person/Staff. - Enter the Listing number into the Chat window here so staff can pull this up readily & attach your screenshots. The Live Chat manned hours weekdays are 8:00:am - 5:30pm and weekends 9:30am - 4:pm- All the Best.0 -

Kia ora Ashnal, great advice here from S, let us know if this happens, especially if it looks like a trader is doing it often. Those screenshots will be helpful too.
