Time Zone Setting on TradeMe
I noticed that Trade Me is using the local computer's clock to determine the listing's end time instead of adhering to the specified timezone settings. I set my listing to close at 6 PM NZ time, but since my laptop's clock is set to Australian time, the closure time is incorrect.
Could you please clarify why the platform relies on the local clock rather than using a universal timezone (e.g., UTC) or the specified NZ time in the listing?
Looking forward to your guidance.
Thank you!

You need to set your local time on device to NZ time, or set to close e.g 2 hours earlier on your local Australian time zone difference,
I was recently re listing while I was in the UK, I just set my Laptop to NZ time, then no issues, the changed it back to UK time zone doing other things, when I was not listing or on Trade Me, As I sometimes do the same when I am in Australia too,
otherwise relist at 6 pm for 8 pm closing etc.
but changing time on your device to Trade Me time is easier, then you don't have to think about it,

My work laptop is restricted to the Australian time zone for work purpose, which affects how TradeMe operates. I would expect TradeMe to automatically interpret and adjust for the universal time zone, regardless of the device's clock settings. Alternatively, it would be helpful to display a notice when a user selects and "pays" for a customized listing end time, ensuring clarity. Probably a question for IT support team at TradeMe.

You will just then need to set your closing times in Australian time to coincide with actual NZ Time,
e.g. if time difference is 2 hours and you want to close at 8pm, just set for 6pm, which is 8pm in NZ,
as you can only use Trade Me in some locations overseas, and with approval from Trade Me anywhere outside Australia and NZ, to stop your account being locked, it is a user problem not an IT problem,

So herein lies a huge problem for us all.
What time are those Operating the Interface of Trade me are they on?
This helps explain in part why so many of us are unable to see our Watchlisters to offer our items to during processes.
This is also likely why the number of views etc has dropped off the radar.
Would Trade me please address this because we are on the correct Time settings and fed up with been unable to offer to sell items to those who are our Watchlisters.
Thank you
