Buyer Chose Wrong Shipping Option & Isn't Responding

I have a buyer who paid for the Courier - Nationwide option. But when I tried to book the courier, that option isn't available; her address is viewed by NZ Post as Rural. I've contacted the buyer to ask them to pay the additional $2.35 postage but haven't received any response. Two weeks have now passed. Today I emailed again and asked if there's an alternative address I can send the item to, her workplace perhaps.
If I still don't hear back, what do I do?

Sorry to read you're in Limbo with that Trade,
2 weeks is a long time to wait, TradeMe allow Members 2 days to make contact & 7 days to complete payment after which time you can enlist a staff members assistance in reaching out to your Buyer on your behalf by applying for your Success fee refund.Have you checked your spam/junk email folder incase their email went there? - If you had messages enabled it would pay to check there also - this is a common mis-connect between Buyers & Sellers. - The next step is normally to send a reminder email nearing the end of the 7 days - if that goes unanswered place a friendly feedback letting them know you have emailed a couple of times, please check their spam/junk folder & make contact with you - feedback can be changed after the Trade is sorted though it can only be changed the once. As you have just sent an email today give it 48hrs for a response, if none go ahead and place Feedback - this usually gains a response.If you hear nothing after placing Feedback apply for your success fee refund which initiates an email from TradeMe to your Buyer, asking if they intend to complete the Trade - TradeMe will either refund your success fee within 3 days so you can relist the item(s) or you will hear from your Buyer. - Keep in mind being Labour weekend it is possible they may be on holiday, away from their device However 2 weeks is ample time for you to have already waited.I hope you hear from them soon - All the Best - Cheers.0 -
flossy63 Community SuperuserHang in there, I am in same boat, they used buy now yesterday and only paid cheapest urban shipping for my main courier,but 99% of time I only use NZ Post for Rural addresses, Correct rural shipping is stated auctions an $8.50 difference,Still waiting for a response, and clearly stated item will not be sent until correct shipping in full has been paid, or they provide an alternative urban address,If after a week I have had no response, I contact my bank to reverse payment back into account it came from and cancel trade, and reflect that, the under payment has been refunded in any feedback, I don't use banking apps so cannot see account numbers payment came from, only website on desktop,0
