Waiting for fees refund before relisting
AnsweredI've had two bidders (three sales) disappear off the face of the earth so I applied and received an immediate refund for the first sale (closed 10 days ago) and then for the next two (closed 3 days ago). These last two weren't immediate refunds so I presume Trade Me has emailed the bidders a reminder. Do I have to wait three days for the bidders to respond (or not) to Trade Me before relisting?
I have emailed each bidder twice already and the reasons I'm moving to refund and relist quickly is because they both have a history of non-completion and the items are in a hot category that is quickly cooling down. Plus, I did ask for payment within 3 days in the listings.

I would like some clarification as to the funds refund policy as well.
Refunds used to be immediate, but now there is no time frame mentioned.

Eli & Kate It's up to you when you relist an item. If it has been longer than your stipulated time for payment I don't see any problem with relisting now. Although I would send the buyers a final email to state that you have cancelled the sale and are relisting. Just to cover yourself.
Don't forget appropriate feedback for the buyers. I think I would wait for the fee refund to come through before placing that though. That way Trade Me can see a fee refund on their file if they try and be idiots and place retaliation feedback.

Callum, do you have any idea of the time frame in receiving fee refunds?

If you are wondering why the fee refund is immediate or you have to wait. Usually this is because of the button you select. However if you have made a large amount of fee refunds recently or the value of the refund it large, it automatically switches over to sending the email.
"Buyer has not made contact" triggers an email to them
"Trade won't be going ahead" triggers instant refund

Hi Callum, I chose "trade can't be completed" for both auctions but still waiting for refund. Both sales were only $20. We don't sell much and have only been refunded for two auctions in the past two months so it's not choice of refund option or volume of refunds but probably how long since sale.
