Setup Paymeñt option

Kia Ora Taylor,
Your Seller is asking you to make an Internet Banking transfer and send them a screenshot of the Bank receipt showing confirmation the payment has been made - you would of course blank out any money balance on the receipt that your account shows only providing the total sum of payment made. - Is there a genuine reason why your Seller has changed the payment option? As you have purchased on a contract of payment on pick up this should stand. Be cautious with the changed arrangement of payment if you don't have a valid reason for the change. - Cheers.

Taylor, if you asked the seller to setup Ping, which is the Trademe online payment system, after the listing closed in response to their changing to bank payment, then this is not possible. Ping can only be added as a payment option when the listing is live. Hopefully the seller has given you pickup address and comes back to you with a legitimate reason for them changing to not allow cash on pickup, otherwise it's a bit of a red flag and you may not want to go further.

No legitimate reason , just sudden change of payment to tranfer. I won the offer by clicking paid by cash for payment. This a 3star seller inside trademe. What my next step? Go to trademe dispute?

Next step is really up to you Taylor. If the seller is not budging and now won't accept cash on pickup as per their listing without giving you a reasonable reason for the change, then you can try to find out more about the seller to put your mind at rest by checking their feedback, weighing up the value of the item vs the risk, do you have their address and is it a valid address, do you have their phone number, do they have other listings with cash as an option, etc etc.
If you feel uneasy you are within your rights not to complete the trade due to the sellers change of terms after the listing closed. It really depends how badly you want the item and if the risk is worth it. Getting Trademe involved will probably get the seller's heckles up and Trademe can't force the seller to abide by their listing terms, however an email from them reminding them of the sellers legal obligations may make the seller recant and stick by the listing payment methods.
It really comes down to how bad you want the item at the price you won for and if it's worth the possible angst that may come, or is it easier to walk away and look elsewhere.

S Community SuperuserKia Ora Taylor,
- Have you received the Seller's address for pick up?
- Check the Seller's Feedback - this can give you a good handle on their authentic credibility.
- Reply email you have the cash to pay on Pick up, as selected on purchase of the Listing.
- You can offer a suitable Pick up time/day & you can request a suitable time/day.
If your Seller isn't providing you an address for pick up, if their Feedback is not looking positive &/Or they don't agree to a pick up time with cash payment, as you haven't paid yet you may be best to forget the Trade altogether and continue your search. - You can file a Dispute Resolution to bring this to TradeMe's attention or you can report this Seller through the "Live Chat" facility if the account & transactions are not looking legitimate. - A Dispute Resolution may continue for weeks to months at a time, alot of generic auto emails are exchanged from the TM system before you may get to a Real Person/Staff to explain the situation.Hopefully your Seller provides the Pick up address and your Trade continues as set by the terms of the contract. - Good Communication is the key. - All the Best! - Cheers.0 -

Not sure what proof of the payment setup the seller provided you, but all that matters is what it says in the auction when you click in to it in your items I won page. If it says Cash as an accepted payment method then that's what it should be. If it doesn't and you have decided that yourself, that's not how things are supposed to work. If you want different terms to what the seller has listed you need to ask a question before buying and wait to see what the seller replies before you buy/bid.

If you selected the Cash on Pick up option when you purchased the item(s) the Seller would not have received your address - your address is only sent out to the Seller if you select a shipping option, choosing Cash on Pick up the delivery address option doesn't appear.
As Gary-NZStocked has advised, you can't change the terms of the contract to Cash on Pick up if this option was not on the Listing Or asked & answered through the question section prior to purchase.
Has the Seller emailed you with proof of a setup for transfer inside the TradeMe system Or are they requesting you to send them a screenshot showing proof you have made a payment transfer using Ping or Afterpay in the TradeMe system? - Can you put a screenshot of this from your Seller up here so we can see what is happening. - All names & contact information identifying your Seller & yourself must be blanked out as this is a public forum.
Feedback must be a true reflection of the Trade - it is hard to advise without seeing what is actually taking place between your Seller & yourself. - Feedback can state Trade not going ahead & your reason why though in fairness to your Seller it must be an accurate reason based on the terms of the contract you have purchased on. - Cheers.

Kia Ora Taylor,
Just email your Seller letting them know you had purchased on the selected Terms of paying Cash on Pick up as provided in the Listing, as these terms have been changed you won't be going ahead with the Trade. - The Seller then applies for their Success Fee refund from TradeMe so they can relist the item. Use the Feedback Link in your won items or in the Closed Listing itself under 'Next steps' to place your Feedback which can state as you've given above. - Keep a copy of the Listing showing Cash on Pick up was an option and keep your email correspondence with the Seller incase you need to show the Terms of the contract were changed. Once you've emailed the Seller your notification that's all you need to do unless you want to report this to TradeMe However they will take note of the Seller applying for their return fee and monitor the account accordingly.
All the Best for your next purchase. - Cheers.
