dispute raised about me but no way of contacting trade me
Hello
I sold a car to someone who has now raised a dispute about me. I keep getting threatening emails from trade me that they may close my account. The car was sold in good working order after a recent issue was fixed and I provided the receipt to the buyer. They asked for a refund, I suggested that they contact the mechanic who recently fixed the issue. What do you suggest I do? Wish trade me had a ph number or customer service line that I can get support from.
Thanks

Hello Kelly. The first email you get when someone opens a dispute is automated. Yes, it mentions they have the power to close your account but that's nothing to worry about really. Once the Dispute winds through the system and a human actually takes a look at it, you should be fine. Just keep records of any emails with the buyer. Best to keep contact through email rather than phone calls for example. So you have a record of what the dispute is about, and who said what.
