Autobiller
We'll show you how to set up Autobiller, so your credit/debit card is automatically charged to pay for fees.
Save the hassle of topping up your Trade Me account – with Autobiller.
How it works
Autobiller is a post-paid option for your Trade Me account.
- When you're charged a fee, your account can go into debt.
- Any outstanding balance is charged weekly to your selected payment method – using Ping.
- We'll email you the day before – to let you know the amount that will be charged.
- You can still manually top up when Autobiller is enabled.
Available payment methods:
Enabling Autobiller
Your Trade Me account balance needs to be $0.00 or more to enable Autobiller.
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select under 'My balances'.
3. Confirm whether you’d like to use Autobiller.
4. Follow the prompts, if you need to pay any existing fees.
5. Select one of your previously saved cards from Ping, or add a new one.
Disabling Autobiller
You can turn off Autobiller at any time.
If you disable Autobiller while there’s a pending transaction, the amount will be deducted.
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select under 'My balances'.
3. Select that you’d like to manually credit your Trade Me account.
4. Follow the prompts, if you need to pay any existing fees.
Failed payments
If an Autobiller charge fails, we'll notify you via email, and Autobiller will be turned off. To re-enable, follow the steps above. Any outstanding debt will need to be paid before re-enabling.
