We'll show you how to place feedback as a buyer or seller, and how to dispute feedback if it breaches our policies.
Feedback helps other traders choose who to trade with.
Feedback on Trade Me
Feedback is a way for people on Trade Me to share their thoughts about buying or selling with someone else. After you buy or sell something, you can leave a comment about how it went. This helps everyone know if someone is a good buyer or seller.
We ask everyone to leave feedback for all their trades. It doesn't matter if you bought or sold, or if you had a great experience or a not-so-great one.
When placing feedback, remember:
- Everyone can see your feedback on the other person's page, and it will show your username.
- Your feedback must be factual and about the specific trade. Don't include any personal information. Learn more in our feedback policy.
We expect everyone who trades to keep their feedback rating at 95% or higher. This rating shows how many good comments you've gotten compared to bad ones.

Place feedback as a buyer
You can place feedback up to 45 days after the listing closes.
To place feedback as a buyer on the Trade Me website:
1. Go to My Trade Me.2. Select Won from the left-side menu.
3. On the listing, select Place feedback.
4. Choose a rating and leave a comment.
5. Select Submit feedback.
To place feedback as a buyer on the iOS app:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select trophy-tick Won
3. Select the listing.
4. Under 'Next steps', select Feedback.
5. Choose a rating and leave a comment.
6. Select Submit feedback.
To place feedback as a buyer on the Android app:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select trophy-tick Won.
3. Select the listing.
4. Under 'Next steps', select Feedback.
5. Choose a rating and leave a comment.
6. Select Place feedback.
Place feedback as a seller
You can place feedback up to 45 days after the listing closes.
To place feedback as a seller on the new-look site:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select Sold from the left-side menu.
3. On the listing, select Place feedback.
4. Choose a rating and leave a comment.
5. Select Submit feedback.
To place feedback as a seller on the iOS app:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select tag Sold
3. Select the listing.
4. Under 'Next steps' select Feedback.
5. Choose a rating and leave a comment.
6. Select Submit feedback.
To place feedback as a seller on the Android app:
1. Go to My Trade Me.
2. Select tag Sold
3. Select the listing.
4. Under 'Next steps' select Feedback.
6. Select Place feedback.
