The Animal welfare code only mentions dogs and cats, not other pets like rabbits and guinea pigs of which their are many listed on Trademe. Is there a separate code that covers these animals and if not, why not? It is concerning to see many backyard breeders selling rabbits that are less than 8 weeks old with no vaccinations or vet checks.
