Good to hear transfers are happening fast for you jpicard Wish I could say the same is happening for me. Made a small sale yesterday around 3.30pm and I'm still waiting. It really does stuff up the flow of things having to wait so long ...
That you get your funds quickly is a moot point Callum. It's what happens for me that is important. Out of my 3 sales yesterday, I've been paid for one thus far. The time between the sale / Ping payment and transfer to my bank- referenced as a Trade Me direct debit - nearly 24 hours, in fact it was 14 minutes shy of 24 hours. If this were a bank transfer, the time would have been maximum 2 hours. THAT IS THE PROBLEM. Yes I could take screenshots, but it's not my job to 'prove' to you. My word that this is happening is adequate.
Replying to S, Okay, I understand now. Sellers pay the Ping fee which includes shipping. Buyers pay the service fee as per the tier. Thanks for that clarification. Regards, Cathy
I would agree with the ping option but I just uncheck that option when I'm listing - as a private seller, I give enough to TM in success fees. But the thing I have the most issue with is that they want to send my personal phone number to a trader who hasn't made contact when applying for my success fee refund. No way jose. If the dodgy trader can't make contact, the last thing I want is them being sent my phone number. Trade Me just gets worse and worse and worse with their treatment of unwitting and innocent sellers. Without us, you'd be nothing so maybe wake the heck up and just leave th...
I had ping option turned on by mistake and a buyer has paid via ping which came as a shock to me. Why would you use ping when it takes days to get the payment?? Why would you use ping when you have to pay a fee? This has been a learning curve for me and I will make sure that when I list things in the future, that the ping option is NOT selected.
You are really pushing that narrative Callum and it's just not true. I've spoken to Q Card, and while they aren't taking any new customers for Q Card itself, they are far from being obsolete and they have a huge range of merchants, as I've pointed out but you seem to conveniently ignore that point. Seems like you should stop trying to justify TMs bad choices. Backend payment systems indeed. So far, I've spent a few hundred dollars using my Q Card outside of Trade Me, which I ordinarily would have spent on your platform earning you commission and I'm just one little old lady. Go woke, go bro...
I spoke to Q Card too, entirely TM decision. Funny cos I keep coming across merchants that accept Q Card with no hesitation. Easy enough to shop on a member's websites instead anyway. I will only purchase via TM in the future if I absolutely have to.
TO Callum, your responses are arrogant and no one cares about your opinion. "Reticence"?? Q Card is far from dead mate, so think again. And like you Brian, I've been shopping elsewhere with my Q CARD and if I have to pay full price, it's not via Trade Me that's for sure. Plenty of great traders out there and I've discovered Temu!! Go woke go broke Trade Me.
Callum to be fair, it is not JUST Bazz, there are an awful LOT OF US and you're really grasping trying to push Q Card as irrelevant when it is far from it. Warehouse? Yes. Kmart? Yes. BB&B? Yes. Briscoes? Yes. 100%? Yes. Animates? Yes. Air New Zealand? Yes. Walker and Hall? Yes. Smiths City? Yes. Number one Shoes? Yes. Pack n Save? Yes. Noel Leeming? Yes. Mobil? Yes. Nick Scali? Yes. Mitre 10? Yes. Nood? Yes. Michael Hill? Yes. Liquorland? Yes. Life Pharmacy? Yes. Just Jeans? Yes. Furniture Warehouse? Yes. Countdown? Yes. ... the list goes on and on ... We can and will just shop elsewhere ...
I did ask exactly that, but the chat agent said that they couldn't for whatever reason. Maybe I should open another chat and ask again. You are quite right about me wanting to buy elsewhere and not having the money! Thanks for your input, good to have some suggestions and support.
