I've often wondered why Trademe dont have a 'holiday mode' or 'temporarily closed' option? As a small home based business, we sometimes travel at short notice due to family commitments, and historically I've spent up to an hour going through 150+ listings adding a comment to each listing description so that potential customers are aware there will be a delay with shipping. I know this feature has been requested many times before - surely something like this wouldn't be difficult to introduce, Trademe already have the option to add a listing footer to each listing (this isn't obvious enough ...
I keep getting asked how potential buyers can make an offer. Im an in-trade member. Any particular reason why the 'make an offer' functionality doesn't exist for in-trade members? Surely Trademe's most valuable members should have more functionality, not less?
Previously it was possible to click on any listing photo in the search gallery view, and it would take you to the listing. Now this doesn't work (Safari browser), I have to click exactly on the listing title. This seems counter intuitive, and definitely makes browsing much slower. Any others experiencing this?
At what point do Trademe consider removing a member, or deleting their account? I've sold a product to a member with 70 positive feedbacks and 30 negative ones. As soon as I sold the item a week ago, I suspected the sale would fall through. So its no surprise that multiple emails later, and two missed promises of payment, I am still chasing payment. Surely it would warrant Trademe having a policy to remove these types of accounts when the trading history is clear?
