I didn't realise that when you get ripped off by a seller trademe just makes you go to the dispute tribunal, which is no help for the overseas companies.  I thought using trademe would be securer than random internet sites, but now find that it isn't. After losing over $200 to a highly-rated Trademe member, who I later read has taken many people's money, but it doesn't seem to have affected their over all account rating, and trademe still lets them advertise on it, I will no longer be using it.
