I agree wholeheartedly that trademe no longer wants loyal users.  Also their change over payments having to be made with ping or credit cards (and hold that information :( ); just another disincentive esp for sellers who get charged a fee.  At least, for the moment anyway, sellers can still give the cash option then email their bank details.  I hardly bother with tm any more.  Sadly the facebook marketplace option is rife with scams, no shows etc.  On the whole, for smaller items, I now donate to a charity so they can get a little bit from it.  Unfortunately, for larger, more valuable items...

I'm yet another disgruntled tm user who gets irritated with the requirement to disable my vpn.  There was a post with an answer/ link for a workaround.  (Hi Chris. I will link a previous post below that discusses this issue. You can probably find more by doing a search yourself at the bar up top. Generally the response seems to be Trade Me don't allow it.
