Hi Callum, As a seller, Ping will become a mandatory payment option. And the seller needs to pay a fee of 2.19% of the total payment amount via this method. And buyers will also be charged a service fee for each purchase. So, that means both buyers and sellers will be charged for each trade, doesn't it?
As we all aware, Trademe is cancelling success fee and bank transfer by introducing the service fee. Which means, Ping and Afterpay are the only options if you want to buy something that's not physically reachable. However, in the current mode, we'll be charged a few percent of amount sold of an item if it's been paid via Ping or Afterpay. Will this surcharge be waved in the new change? If not, we will be forced to pay "success fee" plus the service fee.
