    Thanks to those who have been answering my q. One more q from me. What's to stop a casual trader from not including shipping costs in a listing, and instead, in the body of the listing, quoting shipping prices. Ie $X nationwide (no RD); $Y nationwide RD. There is a reason I am asking this.

    Just clarifying, bc I didn't see it specifically mentioned in TM's notice yesterday, is the shipping fee part of the commission (success fee), or service fee or *"both** for casual sellers? I thought the total fee adding shipping in with the sale price for was for in-trade sellers only.

    So as a casual seller, you list an item for $1 reserve and it sells for $1. Buyer pays by ping, pays no service fee, but seller pays commission? Will it mean the end of $1 reserve auctions?

    Forced to use Ping for TM to take a cut. And if you write in the main body of the listing to pay via Internet banking & not ping, will you be turfed ?

    A similar thing happens to me too. I load listings via a computer, using the desktop site and set the closing time. Sometimes to a few minutes past an hour. If I need to edit the listing, I do this on my ph in the app and I can't keep the closing time to the same as the original. And it won't let me set it to a few minutes past the hour.

    thank you, I couldn't find the chat function in desktop mode it using my ph, but managed to following the link you posted, using my tablet.

    I've been round and round this site on my ph in desktop mode and can't find it. I wanted to chat w a human about ensuring I get a refund on fees after a trade fell over.  I have filed a request via a drop down menu, but wanted to ask TM directly how someone w 65% positive feedback still has an active a/c. I also put 'chat' in the search bar in tbis community and it didn't pop up.  Anyways, appreciate if someone could oblige and I will screenshot it for next time. Thank you

    Until now, I've avoided updating my shipping templates to reflect the new NZ Post pre-paid bag shipping options.But needs must & I need some advice from seasoned professionals, pls. I managed to make the shipping template work with bags prior to the price increase, but not so now. The shipping template in MP doesn't reflect NZ Post's service options for pre-paid bags, ie Courier and Economy. There's no option to show "courier" from the drop down menu in the "product" column.  The best I can do is below - to send an item in what is now a small bag (prev size 2) it's either $9 Courier to the...

    Shipping is not postage alone; it can also include the cost of items needed to safely & securely ship the item. Ie good quality bubble wrap/new cardboard. These things don't grow on trees, so it's fair enough to expect this is passed on.  And if the seller lives out of town and you've asked them to run into town to post it to you, why shouldn't you contribute to that cost?  Was it a pick up only item?  Did you get the item for next to nothing? Does it need wrapping to protect it on its journey?    $10 sounds excessive, but you don't know what hoops the seller has to jump through to ship it ...
