Should the buyer also report the theft to the police?
I shipped something via courier (via TradeMe book-a-courier service as it happens). It was sent "signature required" and the courier didn't get a signature and the package was (assumedly) stolen. It was marked as "contactless signature". Do I refund the buyer and make a claim against the courier company? Or does the buyer make a claim against the courier company? I feel that once the courier picked up the signature-required package that that was the demarcation point of the sale and the buyer should make the claim against the courier company as I had done all I could have done already.
