Thanks Flossie. Might be time to switch all my shipping to Pass the Parcel courier, which looks to be considerably cheaper - until they also put their prices up. I think the day will come when it’s just not economically viable to purchase items anymore due to prohibitive shipping rates. People are so used to paying low, subsidised shipping from large online retailers (who are able to negotiate cheaper rates or subsidise shipping) that they balk at the thought of paying anything higher. Unless they book and pay for couriers themselves, they don’t understand the true cost of shipping items.
Sorry to hear this Leanda. Unfortunately not everyone is honest or trustworthy and the golden rule is never ship anything until you have received payment. Many of us, myself included, have had to learn this lesson the hard way. If you haven’t done so already, I would email the buyer telling them that you shipped the item in good faith and now require payment. If the buyer has not replied to an email asking for payment, I would place neutral blue feedback stating that you shipped the item in good faith and are still waiting for payment. I would also state that unless payment is made within ...
I had a non signature required parcel delivered to the wrong address by Aramex. I phoned them and was put through to their call centre in the Phillipines. The lady I spoke to just kept telling me it had been delivered and wouldn’t put me through to the Chch depot. In the end I insisted on holding for a supervisor, spoke to them and asked for further proof of delivery in the form of photo evidence or GPS coordinates. Within 5 minutes they had tracked the parcel down (delivered to the wrong University hostel), put in a request for retrieval and redelivery. Parcel was redelivered the same even...
I would definitely contact Trade Me, that way if the buyer places negative feedback you have a better chance of having it removed.
Yes you can. Once you have selected Print My Own Label and made your booking, you will have the option to Download Label. Select that, and then you can print your label as normal using your laser printer.
I list Women’s shoes under their NZ size, which is generally the US size. But I also put the UK and European size in the auction heading in the hope that someone might be searching in that format.
I would have thought they would need to refund your original postage as well.
If the seller had packed these inadequately (and it sounds like they did) then they should pay for the cost of return freight. You could offer to pack the parcel up for them (just add more protective packaging than they did) and get them to order the courier, that way they pay for it. They are correct that they only need only need to refund you upon receipt of the retuned goods. That way they can be assured that you will actually return the vases to them. However, as a seller, I personally would pay out as soon as I saw the photos of the broken vase. Also they should refund you, regardless ...
Hi Bronwyn. I sent a couple of parcels to Australia at the end of last year. I just booked online via NZPost website, printed and completed all the forms at home and had the courier pick up from my house. No need for special stickers etc. Everything you need is on the forms.
