I often watch others items..to help their algorithm popularity..to in effect help their sales...sometimes, because I like them also as sellers...and also what they sell...if I can even be bothered to do so.
In my opinion..and as person who followed probably ten pages of items at any one time in the past..that maybe someone as such was ' a stalker'..is just so preposterous.. as if you were the subject of such watching..get over yourself... No..it is the general market and what happens with what is and what isn't moving as far as sales go. If your item is watched..then we'll done on you for having such items to list ..that they garner interest as such..and not only to your credit..but also to your benefit as the number of watchers the more the merrier increases your algorithm popularity..so you ...
why is it ..that when relisting items.. some listing retain the previous watchers.. and others dont ! ?.. no changes made to those listings either.
Seems it is more of a hack..than improvements. Maybe someone grumbled about all the overseas sellers obfuscating our commerce with spam listings, using AI to upload multiple listings under multiple accounts headed by the same outfit. It is very obvious, spam has become a big problem shopping, the products don't exist most of the time, but printed out on order, and then customers details harvested. The site needs a large overall, but it is questionable now who has shares in Trademe that allows this behaviour.
Maybe they are trying to make the site 'digital currency' only. Lol...unlol..just saying ; {
